Two Donations Support StrongHearts Native Helpline

Posted
by StrongHearts Native Helpline
StrongHearts Native Helpline received two donations that will strengthen its operations in 2022. The Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee awarded a $50,000 unrestricted grant “to support the important work of StrongHearts Native Helpline. The glassybaby foundation awarded a $15,000 partner grant in appreciation of StrongHearts “providing resources and a place for those struggling.”

The Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund was established by Senora May and Tyler Childers to bring awareness and financial support for philanthropic efforts in the Appalachian Region and other communities in their home state of Kentucky. The glassybaby foundation, located in Seattle, Washington, awards partner grants to non-profit organizations working within the foundation’s mission: hope and healing for people, animals and the planet.

“On behalf of StrongHearts Native Helpline and its board of directors, we are immensely grateful for these wonderful foundation grants,” said Lori Jump (Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians) chief executive officer, StrongHearts Native Helpline. “These generous gifts will ensure our ability to continue carrying out our mission to provide supportive services to Native Americans and Alaska Natives impacted by domestic, dating and sexual violence.”
